Work Keeps On Growing

I spent 4 months never tried to limit the time I spend on writing or completing any tasks.

I thought that was a luxury, not having to restrict my time, no schedule.

Sure, I've been building my business full time,

But there is a downside of having all day to work on whatever I can handle:

Unstructured time

It made my life more stressful.

“Work always expands to fill up the time set for its completion.” - Parkinson Law

I've since started developing my own time management system and it is making things much easier.

  1. Prioritize tasks: Start each day or week by identifying your most important tasks and prioritizing them based on urgency and importance.

  2. Set realistic goals: Break down larger tasks into smaller, achievable goals, and allocate specific time blocks for each goal.

  3. Incorporate breaks: Schedule regular breaks to prevent burnout and maintain focus. Short breaks can help you recharge and approach tasks with a fresh perspective.

  4. Minimize distractions: Identify and minimize potential distractions during your designated work periods, such as turning off notifications or creating a distraction-free environment.

  5. Review and adjust: Regularly review your time management system and make adjustments as needed. Experiment with different techniques and find what works best for you.

Do you guys time block?
